GB 1886.316-2021 Food Safety National Standard for Food Additives, Dyeing Agent, Citrus Bicolor
Abstract
This standard applies to the food additive Bixin (Redwood Red), which is extracted from the outer seed coat of Bixa orellana L. seeds by solvents or cold weak alkaline aqueous solutions and refined. It also applies to the food additive Bixin (Redwood Red) obtained by hydrolysis and refinement with hot alkaline solutions. The solvents used include acetone, methanol, ethanol, n-hexane, isopropanol, ethyl acetate, alkaline ethanol, and/or carbon dioxide.
