Abstract
This standard specifies the method for determining the content of 1,1,1-trimethylpropanol in food simulants.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of 1,1,1-trimethylpropanol in four types of food simulants: water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution, and olive oil.
The detection limit of 1,1,1-trimethylpropanol in the three water-based food simulants (water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid, and 10% (volume fraction) ethanol) in this standard is 0.60 mg/L, and the detection limit of 1,1,1-trimethylpropanol in the olive oil simulant is 0.60 mg/kg.
