Abstract
This document provides the antenna calibration procedure and related information for determining the antenna factor (AF) applicable to antennas used in radiation disturbance measurement. According to IEC Guide 107, CISPR 1616 is the basic electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard used by the IEC product committees. The AF is affected by the surrounding environment and its spatial position relative to the transmitting source. The antenna calibration addressed in this document aims to provide the free-space AF in the direction of the antenna's axis, applicable to a frequency range of 9 kHz to 18 GHz, including antenna types such as monopole antennas, loop antennas, dipole antennas, double-cone antennas, logarithmic-periodic dipole array (LPDA) antennas, composite antennas, and horn antennas. This document can also serve as a guide for evaluating the measurement uncertainty of each calibration method, calibration setup, and calibration measurement equipment.
