GB/T 5008.2-2013 Lead-acid starter batteries—Part 2:Dimensions of batteries and dimensions and marking of terminals
Abstract
This part of GB/T 5008 specifies the model numbering and polarity marking of lead-acid batteries for starting, battery models and classification, battery terminal positions and terminal sizes, and markings.
This part is applicable to exhaust-type (wet-cell type) lead-acid batteries and valve-regulated (with gas-recombination function) lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) with a rated voltage of 12 V, which are used for starting, ignition, and lighting in various automobiles, tractors, heavy trucks, and other internal combustion engines.
This part is not applicable to batteries used for other purposes, such as batteries for starting internal combustion engines in railways.
