This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, installation requirements, wiring requirements, and acceptance requirements for the installation and wiring of electrical appliances for household and similar purposes (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances"). This standard applies to household appliances that require installation and wiring. Note: Additional installation and wiring requirements may be necessary for household appliances used in special environments.
