This document specifies the requirements for electric stair climbing devices, testing equipment, preparation work for testing stair climbing devices, testing conditions, oblique angle, braking performance, static stability, dynamic stability, direct operating force, safety of stair transition, static, impact and fatigue strength, climate testing, electromagnetic compatibility, safe operation when the battery is exhausted, safety devices, test reports, marking and documentation. It is not applicable to manual stair climbing devices.
