GB/T 14048.4-2020 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear—Part 4-1:Contactors and motor-starters—Electromechanical contactors and motor-starters(Including motor protector)
Abstract
This part of GB/T 14048 specifies:
a) The characteristics of electrical appliances.
b) The applicable conditions for the following aspects:
1) Operation and performance;
2) Dielectric properties;
3) Protection grade;
4) Structure, including safety measures to prevent electric shock, fire, and mechanical hazards.
c) Tests used to confirm that electrical appliances meet these conditions, as well as test methods.
d) Information that needs to be provided on the product or in the manufacturer's documents.
This part also specifies the evaluation procedures for electromechanical overload protection in safety areas, such as protecting motors located in explosive environments from external environmental influences (see Appendix L).
This part applies to:
——Electromechanical contactors and starters, including motor protection switch devices (MPSD);
——Operating devices for contactor relays;
——Special contacts for the coil circuits of contactors or contactor relays;
——Special accessories (such as special wiring and special latching accessories).
The above-mentioned electrical appliances are connected to distribution circuits, motor circuits, and other load circuits, with a rated voltage of not more than 1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC.
