This document specifies the requirements for PVC-U pipes (hereinafter referred to as "pipes") made from PVC-U compound as raw material and extruded into shape, including material requirements, product classification, appearance, color, size and physical and mechanical properties, hydrostatic pressure strength, hygiene, system applicability, etc. It also describes the corresponding test methods and stipulates the inspection rules, marking, transportation, and storage requirements.
This document is applicable to PVC-U piping systems for indoor or outdoor buried water supply with a water temperature not exceeding 45 °C, including general-purpose pressure water transmission and drinking water distribution, and is also applicable to the production, inspection, and sales of pressure drainage piping systems.
Note 1: The pressure reduction coefficient between 0 °C and 45 °C is provided in Appendix A.
