This document specifies the geometric accuracy and working accuracy tests for horizontal internal gear hobbing machines with a horizontal Z-axis providing the main cutting motion. It also defines the tolerances applicable to ordinary-precision horizontal internal gear hobbing machines corresponding to the aforementioned tests. This document explains the concept, configuration, and characteristics of horizontal internal gear hobbing machines, and provides relevant terminology and axis names. This document is only applicable to the accuracy tests of horizontal internal gear hobbing machines, and is not applicable to the operational tests of horizontal internal gear hobbing machines (such as vibration, abnormal noise, and creep of moving parts) and parameter tests (such as speed and feed rate tests), which are typically conducted before the accuracy tests of horizontal internal gear hobbing machines.
