This document specifies the materials, product classification, size and deviation, physical and mechanical properties, inspection rules, marking, technical documents, and packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for buried polyethylene (PE) pipe fittings for gas use (hereinafter referred to as "pipe fittings"). It also describes the corresponding test methods. This document, together with other parts of GB/T 15558, applies to buried polyethylene gas pipeline systems with an operating temperature of -20 ℃ to 40 ℃ and a maximum operating pressure (MOP) of no more than 1.0 MPa. This document applies to buried polyethylene pipe fittings for gas use with a nominal outer diameter of 16 mm to 800 mm, manufactured from PE 100-grade and PE 80-grade compounds. This document does not apply to pipe fittings with hot-melt socket-weld connections.
