Abstract
This standard specifies the safety requirements for the structure of passenger cars. This standard applies to Class I, Class II, and Class III single-deck passenger cars in Class M2 and Class M3. This standard does not apply to sleeper passenger cars, school buses, and special-purpose passenger cars.
