YY/T 1400-2016 Dentistry—Materials used for dental equipment surfaces—Determination of resistance to chemical disinfectants
Abstract
This standard specifies three test methods for determining the resistance of the outer surface materials of dental equipment expected to be disinfected to chemical disinfectants: soaking test, spray test, and contact test. The choice of which test method to use is at the discretion of the tester.
This standard does not address the effectiveness of disinfectants against bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
This standard does not stipulate the impact that the stress applied to the test materials during the resistance test may have on the measurement results.
