GB/T 15072.1-2025 Methods for chemical analysis of precious metal alloys—Part 1:Determination of gold content
Abstract
This document describes the methods for determining the gold content in precious metal alloys by the potentiometric titration method with ferrous sulfate and the fire assay weight method.
This document is applicable to the determination of gold content in precious metal alloys. The measurement range (mass fraction) of the potentiometric titration method with ferrous sulfate is 3.00% to 99.60%; the measurement range (mass fraction) of the fire assay weight method is 5.00% to 99.60%.
In this document, the fire assay weight method is suitable for samples with a platinum group metal content of less than 0.005%.
