This standard specifies the professional basis of filtration and separation processes with a liquid phase as the continuous phase, as well as the construction and performance of related equipment.
This standard applies to the principles and processes of liquid-solid separation, material properties, pretreatment technologies (including concentration, clarification, sedimentation, air flotation, coagulation and flocculation, filtration aids, etc.), filtration media, post-processing technologies (including washing, dewatering, etc.), membrane processes; as well as centrifuges, separators, centrifugal extraction equipment, filters, pressing filtration equipment, filter presses, membrane filtration, air flotation equipment, hydrocyclones, and other machinery, equipment, and components, as well as the design and production of related operation processes and control, mechanical structures; it also applies to scientific research and teaching in the fields of filtration and separation processes and equipment.
This standard does not include laboratory centrifuges and gas filters.
