This part specifies the basic structure, model naming, technical requirements, testing and acceptance rules, packaging, transportation, and storage of joints for oil-filled cables with paper or polypropylene composite paper insulation and metal sheathing, with a rated voltage of 500 kV or lower. This part applies to straight-through joints, insulated joints, and plug-in joints for oil-filled cables with paper or polypropylene composite paper insulation and metal sheathing, with a rated voltage of 500 kV or lower.
