YY 0574.2-2005 Anaesthesia and respiratory care alarm signals—Part 2:Auditory alarm signal
Abstract
This part of YY 0574 specifies the characteristics of the auditory components of basic electrical alarm systems used in anesthesia and respiratory care, which can either be standalone or part of an integrated system. It only applies when referenced by dedicated standards for medical equipment. This part does not specify: a) the medical equipment that will provide the alarm; b) the conditions for triggering the alarm; c) the method of generating the alarm signal; d) the characteristics of auxiliary alarm systems, i.e., alarm systems that are activated when the basic alarm system fails; e) the configuration of alarm priorities. Note: The application requirements for the auditory alarm signals specified in this part will be included in the "dedicated standards" for specialized medical equipment (developed by IEC).
