Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the objectives, principles, and requirements of TCM agriculture, as well as production, processing, labeling, and management norms. This standard applies to the production of TCM agricultural products from plants, animals, and microorganisms; the processing of TCM agricultural inputs and food products; and the packaging, storage, transportation, labeling, and sales of TCM agricultural products. Main technical content: Applying TCM principles and methods to promote the ecological transformation of conventional agriculture, improve resource utilization efficiency, enhance the quality of production environments, optimize agricultural ecosystems, implement green pest and disease prevention and control, promote the healthy growth of plants and animals, expand the production scale of functional agricultural products and high-standard TCM raw materials, effectively improve the quality and safety of agricultural products, and meet people's needs for healthy development. It provides standardized support for inputs such as fertilizers, pesticides, feed, and veterinary drugs in TCM agriculture, and regulates production and management operations in agricultural cultivation and breeding, as well as the processing of TCM agricultural products. It provides evaluation and certification services, as well as traceability services for TCM agriculture standardization activities. The technical elements of TCM agriculture are based on organic product standards, without requiring organic certification. For the conversion period and parallel production sections stipulated in organic product standards, as well as parts not covered by organic product standards, the provisions of green food standards should be adopted, without requiring green certification.
