GB/T 17285-2022 Marking of electrical equipment with ratings related to electrical supply—Safety requirements

Scope

This document specifies the minimum requirements and general rules for marking the power rating and other related characteristics of electrical equipment, in order to correctly and safely select and install electrical equipment connected to any power supply.
The purpose of this document is to:
——Provide general requirements (without restriction) for marking the characteristics related to any power system, such as voltage, current, frequency, and power;
——Provide a unified method for product electrical rating marking for various technical committees.
This document applies to the minimum requirements for marking the ratings of electrical equipment, devices, and components connected to any power supply for technical committees, and also applies to product manufacturers marking their products.

This document applies to technical committees preparing standards in accordance with the principles specified in IEC Guide 108.
One of the responsibilities of technical committees is to use horizontal standards when preparing publications, where applicable. Unless specifically mentioned or included, the content of this document does not apply.
