GB/Z 6113.403-2020 Specification for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods—Part 4-3:Uncertainties,statistics and limit modelling—Statistical considerations in the determination of EMC compliance of mass-produced products
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 6113 describes the statistical considerations for determining the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) conformity of batch products.
The reasons for these statistical considerations are:
a) The purpose of reducing interference is to ensure that most qualified products should not cause interference;
b) The limits set by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) should not only be suitable for type approval of individual products, but also for type approval of batch products;
c) It is necessary to apply statistical techniques to ensure that batch products comply with CISPR limits;
d) It is important for international trade that every country should understand the significance of these limits in the same way;
e) The national committees of IEC participating in CISPR cooperation should strive to obtain recognition in their respective countries.
Therefore, this part specifies requirements and provides guidance based on statistical techniques. The EMC conformity of batch products requires the application of statistical techniques, which should ensure that 80% of the products of the studied type comply with the emission or immunity requirements with 80% confidence. Chapter 4 gives the general requirements of the 80%/80% criterion. Chapter 5 gives more specific requirements for the application of the 80%/80% criterion to emission tests. Chapter 6 gives guidelines for the application of the CISPR 80%/80% criterion to immunity tests. The 80%/80% criterion protects consumers from obtaining products that do not meet the limit requirements, but this does not represent the acceptance probability of a sampled batch of products. However, the acceptance probability is very important for manufacturers. Appendix A provides more information on the acceptance probability (manufacturer's risk).
