Scope
This document specifies the general safety requirements for coated abrasives.
This document applies to the following coated abrasives: sandpaper wheels, sandpaper discs, steel-paper sandpaper discs, and shaft-mounted sandpaper wheels. The abrasives used in these products include: corundum, silicon carbide, diamond, or cubic boron nitride, etc.
This document also applies to the support trays of steel-paper sandpaper discs.
This document does not apply to coated abrasives made entirely from non-woven fabric bases.
