Scope

This standard specifies the basic dimensions of international preferred specifications for slides and title strips of 3 cm × 3 cm, 5 cm × 5 cm, and 7 cm × 7 cm. This standard does not apply to slides used for special purposes (such as television). The purpose of this standard is to promote the international interchangeability of slides in manufacturing and use. This standard does not apply to slides smaller than the 3 cm × 3 cm specification.
