Scope

This standard provides guidance on the organization and planning of capability verification programs for the mechanical properties of metal products used in construction projects, the determination of capability verification items, the selection of testing methods, the selection of statistical methods, the determination of specified values and their uncertainties, the calculation of capability statistics, capability evaluation, capability verification reports, and communication with participants and confidentiality issues.
