Scope

This document specifies the determination of trace dimers and residual extractants in industrial butadiene by gas chromatography. This document is applicable to the determination of trace dimers such as 4-vinylcyclohexene, 1,2-dienylcyclobutane, and 1,5-cyclooctadiene in industrial butadiene, as well as residual extractants such as acetonitrile (ACN), N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF), and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). The minimum detection concentration for dimers is 5 mg/kg, and the minimum detection concentration for extractants is 1 mg/kg.
