Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the loading and transfer systems and equipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueled ships, excluding those specified in the IGC rules. This document applies to all sizes of ships engaged in international and domestic navigation, and mainly includes the following five items: a) Equipment: Liquid and vapor transfer systems; b) Operating procedures; c) Requirements for LNG suppliers to provide loading and transfer instructions for LNG; d) Personnel training and qualifications; e) Requirements for LNG facilities to comply with ISO standards and local/regional regulations.
