Scope

This document, as a standard test method section in the GB/T 37977 series of standards for specific applications, provides a method for measuring resistance for footwear (shoes, slippers, or boots) designed to control human electrostatic potential. This measurement method is suitable for manufacturers or users. This method is applicable to acceptance tests of new shoes and to periodic inspections of shoes in use. Although this document does not include personal safety requirements, all footwear used in workplaces within the scope of this document must comply with relevant laws and regulations regarding human health and safety. While the test methods specified in this document are applicable to the measurement of resistance in insulated footwear, insulated footwear is not within the scope of this document.
