Scope
This section establishes the specifications and requirements for downhole screw pumps used in the oil and gas industry. The screw pump system is an oil extraction system for single-phase or multi-phase fluids, and follows the definitions given in Chapter 2. This section applies to downhole screw pump systems. It mentions but does not include the intermediate components and accessories necessary to form a complete pump system. This section does not cover the requirements for loading, unloading, maritime transportation, and land transportation.
