Scope

This document describes the method for determining the anti-fogging performance of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics used in the interior decoration of motor vehicles.
This document is also applicable to interior decoration materials made from liquid, paste, powder, or solid natural materials, as well as other materials and finished products with anti-fogging requirements.
This document is suitable for determining the anti-fogging performance of glass surfaces to a minimum extent. This test method is not suitable for or cannot accurately determine the following situations:
——The surface tension of the condensate is low, resulting in the early formation of a thin transparent film;
——The amount of condensate is very large, leading to the aggregation of water droplets and the formation of a thick oily/transparent film (thick films produce erroneous readings).
In such cases, the mass method is preferred.
