Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and safety of 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (aerosol can type) used in automotive air conditioning systems.
This standard applies to aerosol cans (containing less than 1 L) packaged with refrigerants for automotive air conditioning systems, which are produced using 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane as the raw material through the filling process.
This standard does not apply to reusable aerosol can products.
