Scope
This standard specifies the quality requirements, sampling, testing methods, acceptance rules, and marking, packaging, storage, and transportation requirements for amber gum. This standard applies to amber gum, a raw material extracted from the secretions of Kerria chinenisis Maldh. or Kerria yunnanensis Ou et Hong after they have matured and are harvested from their host trees. After removing the branches and drying in the wind, the amber gum is used in the production of granular amber gum, amber gum sheets, and other products.
