Scope
This procedure applies to the initial verification, subsequent verification, and in-use testing of the following two types of dynamic (portable) electrocardiographs:
a) Those that can continuously record and analyze ECGs and enable full-process playback. They can either record and store data first, and then play it back and analyze it on an independent workstation, or perform recording and analysis simultaneously.
b) Those that can continuously analyze data but only partially record it, without providing full-process playback.
This procedure does not apply to intermittent event recorders that cannot provide continuous analysis.
