Scope
Scope: This standard specifies the production environment, management of production techniques, pest and disease control, harvesting, and establishment of production records for organic cucumber cultivation in the "China Cucumber Picking Garden". This standard applies to the organic production of cucumbers. Main technical content: 4. Production technical management 4.1 Cultivation season 4.1.1 Winter-spring cultivation: The sowing period is preferably from January to March, with transplanting from February to April, and harvesting starting in early April. 4.1.2 Summer-autumn cultivation: The sowing period is preferably from April to July, with transplanting from May to August, and harvesting starting in June. 4.2 Variety selection 4.2.1 Selection principles: Choose short-fruited varieties that are disease-resistant, high-yielding, female-line, and of good marketability. For winter-spring cultivation, select varieties that are tolerant to low temperatures and weak light, resistant to diseases, and early-maturing, such as Jin You 36 and Jin You 35; for summer-autumn cultivation, select varieties with high resistance to viral diseases, good heat tolerance, and strong stress resistance, such as Xia Zhi Guang. 4.2.2 Seed quality shall meet the requirements of GB 16715.1-2010. 4.3 Seedling cultivation 4.3.1 Seedling method: In winter and spring, use nutrient pots or seedling trays; in summer and autumn, choose seedling trays with 50 or 72 holes. 4.3.2 Facility requirements: In winter and spring, use greenhouses with small arched sheds for seedling cultivation, and equip with electric heating lines or heating facilities; in summer and autumn, use rain-proof seedling cultivation, and add shading, temperature control, and pest prevention facilities. 4.3.3 Seed treatment: Place the seeds in water at 55°C–60°C for 15–20 minutes, stirring continuously. When the water temperature drops to 25°C–28°C, soak the seeds for 4–5 hours. For winter-spring se
