Scope

This standard applies to the operation and performance requirements of night vision devices installed on high-speed vessels, as well as their testing methods. High-speed vessels must comply with the requirements of Chapter 13 of the IMO's International High-Speed Craft Safety Regulations (HSC Regulations), and the night vision devices on high-speed vessels should meet the performance standards of IMO MSC.94(72).
