Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the autoignition temperature of flammable liquids and gases, petroleum products, and their mixtures between 75°C and 650°C. The autoignition temperature can measure the tendency of flammable materials to combust when in contact with a hot object and mixed with air, and based on this, flammable materials can be safely classified.
