Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining the total chromium content in cosmetics using flame atomic absorption spectrometry and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
This standard is applicable to the determination of total chromium content in cosmetics. When the sample weighs 1g, the detection limit of flame atomic absorption spectrometry is 0.25 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 0.83 mg/kg; the detection limit of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is 0.005 mg/kg, and the quantitative limit is 0.015 mg/kg.
