Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, general requirements, inspection requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, drying and painting, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of spherical compensators used in urban heating pipelines.
This standard applies to the production and inspection of spherical compensators designed for a design pressure not exceeding 2.5 MPa, a design temperature of not more than 200 °C for hot water media and a design temperature of not more than 350 °C for steam media, and a nominal diameter of not more than 1,600 mm, which are used to absorb angular displacement on any plane.
