Main technical content: 4 Planting requirements 4.1 Site environment The green pepper production base should be located in an area with no pollution and good ecological conditions, far away from industrial and mining areas and major railway and highway lines, to avoid the impact of industrial and urban pollution sources. Green pepper production requires dedicated water sources, such as dedicated wells and water storage tanks, to strictly prevent pollution. The mouth of the dedicated well should be 30 cm above the ground, and protective facilities should be installed to prevent rainwater backflow and the discharge of pollutants. 5 Soil, fertilizer, and water management 5.1 Soil management Silt and sandy silt soils are suitable, with a soil layer thickness of more than 1 m and a pH value of 6.0–7.5. Management should comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 26-2022 section 5.1. 5.2 Fertilizer management Fertilizer management should comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 26-2022 sections 5.3, 5.5, and 7.3. 5.3 Water and fertilizer management Water and fertilizer management should adopt integrated water and fertilizer technology and comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 27-2022 section 6.4.2. 6 Variety selection Varieties should be selected based on local climate, consumption habits, and market demand. For autumn-winter planting, choose varieties that are resistant to high temperatures and viruses; for winter-spring planting, choose varieties that are resistant to low temperatures and weak light. 7 Planting and seedling management Planting and seedling management should comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 27-2022 section 7. 8 Plant adjustment Plant adjustment should comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 26-2022 section 7.4 and DB1404/T 27-2022 section 6.4.3. 9 Disease and pest control Disease and pest control should comply with the requirements of DB1404/T 26-2022 section 7.
