Scope

This document presents a method for evaluating the intermediate tonal values of spot color inks. This method of calculating spot color tonal values (SCTV) produces tonal values that create a roughly uniform visual spacing between the printed material and the actual sample. It can be calculated from the measured spectral reflectance or chromaticity values of the actual ink, the printed material, and one or more intermediate tonal color blocks.
