Scope

This standard applies to the design, production, and testing of portable Fourier infrared monitors for volatile organic compounds in ambient air and fixed-source waste gas (hereinafter referred to as "instruments"). For instruments used in different scenarios, the detection range of the corresponding instruments is specified. Instruments used for emergency monitoring of environmental air pollution incidents are referred to as Type I instruments in this standard, and instruments used for monitoring fixed-source waste gas are referred to as Type II instruments in this standard.
