Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, and parameters required for type selection of soft-start devices for high-voltage motors (hereinafter referred to as "soft-start devices"), as well as the starting scheme and bypass function.
This standard applies to soft-start devices with a rated working voltage of 3 kV to 10 kV and an input frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
