Scope

This standard is used to guide and assist suppliers in understanding the technical specifications of analyzers and their auxiliary systems, as well as evaluating the submitted bids.
This standard itself does not involve design specifications, and the design guidelines section has been deliberately omitted. However, relevant specific design standards should be referred to, such as those from the German Association of Users of Process Control Technology in the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industries (NAMUR), the Engineering Equipment and Materials Users Association (EEMUA), the American Instrument Society (ISA), etc. The IEC/TR 61831 technical report can also be used as a supplement to the design guidelines.
