Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the fiber content of acetate fibers or triacetate fibers after removing non-fibrous substances, when mixed with certain other fibers, using the hydrochloric acid method.
This standard applies to two-component mixtures of acetate fibers with wool, cashmere, other animal fibers, silk, cotton, ramie, linen, viscose fibers, modal fibers, lyocell fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, polyester fibers, spandex, and polylactic acid fibers, as well as to two-component mixtures of triacetate fibers with polyacrylonitrile fibers, polyester fibers, and polylactic acid fibers.
Other similar fibers can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
