Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, marking, packaging, storage and transportation, and sampling for food-grade microcrystalline wax. 1.2 This standard applies to food-grade microcrystalline wax produced by solvent extraction of heavy fractions or vacuum residue of petroleum, followed by solvent refining, dewaxing, and degumming, and then further refined by clay or hydrogenation.
