Scope
This part of GB 38030 specifies the ship type number, general technical requirements, and main parameters of standard ship types for vessels transporting through locks on the Yangtze River system.
This part applies to new (or modified) ships that pass through navigable structures such as locks and ship lifts on the Yangtze River system (excluding the Three Gorges ship lift), including dry bulk carriers, chemical tankers, oil tankers, barges, container ships, roll-on/roll-off cargo ships, and self-unloading sand ships.
