Scope

Main Technical Content: 1. Winter Storage - Outdoor winter storage: Place potted lotus plants in cultivation pots, maintaining a water depth of over 20cm above the pot soil surface, and covering them with straw. When the average daily temperature stabilizes above 15°C, remove the pots from the pond. - Greenhouse winter storage: Move the pots into greenhouses in mid-to-late December, filling the pots with water 5-10cm above the soil surface. Ensure the entrances and exits are sealed and insulated. When the average daily temperature stabilizes above 15°C, remove the pots from the greenhouse. 2. Repotting - Wet repotting: Conduct in late March to early April. Side-stand the pot, support it with one hand while rinsing the soil with a hose along the edge of the container. Continue rotating the pot slowly until most of the disc-shaped underground stems are cleaned. Alternatively, when new leaves emerge, invert the pot and rinse the underground stems with water. Classify the quality of lotus tubers according to DB33/T 2217. - Dry repotting: Ensure the soil in the pot is loose. Invert the pot, break up clumps, remove the underground stems, and cut off the lotus tubers. Classify the quality of lotus tubers according to DB33/T 2217. - Secondary repotting: After mid-June, side-stand the pot and rinse it slowly until most of the disc-shaped underground stems are cleaned. Conduct in June-July to extend the flowering period, or in June-August to increase the number of cultivated varieties. Use the flat-laying planting method. 3. Planting - Container selection: Use containers without holes with similar upper and lower diameters, preferably made of ceramics or plastic.
