Scope
This standard specifies the method for testing the wicking performance of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics.
This standard is applicable to single-sided or double-sided rubber or plastic-coated fabrics.
Method A of this standard is suitable for coated fabrics used in the production of non-inflatable products, such as tarpaulins, advertising banners, waterproof fabrics, and oil containment booms; Method B of this standard is suitable for coated fabrics used in the production of inflatable products, such as soft-shell oil (water) storage tanks and rubber dams.
