Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, models, types, basic parameters, and working conditions of filling and capping machines for carbonated beverages (hereinafter referred to as "filling and capping machines"), as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements.
This standard applies to filling and capping machines used to fill carbonated beverages (hereinafter referred to as "materials") into containers such as glass bottles, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, and aluminum bottles.
This standard does not apply to can filling operations.
