Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, general requirements, special technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation, and storage for LED strips powered by DC or AC 50Hz with a rated power supply voltage of less than 250V. This standard applies to flexible LED strips and related accessories, which use flexible printed circuit boards (FPCBs) as the mechanical and electrical connection substrates and surface-mount LEDs as light sources. This standard does not apply to lamps or lighting fixtures supported by rigid PCBs or LED strips connected in series or parallel using flexible or rigid wires. This standard is suitable for indoor applications such as dark grooves, cabinets, exhibition lighting, or decorative lighting, as well as outdoor lighting applications such as building contours, advertising signs, and other decorative lighting scenarios.
