Scope
This guidance technical document specifies the mnemonics for measuring relays, measuring instruments, and related equipment symbols used in the monitoring, control, and protection systems of substations, power stations, and power utilization and conversion facilities.
This guidance technical document is applicable to the design, production, and use of the aforementioned systems.
The graphical symbols for measuring relays and measuring instruments serve two purposes, namely:
——Standardizing mnemonics;
——Limiting the possible range of variations.
In the graphical symbols for measuring relays, the functionality of a component is described by defining symbols such as: IEC 60617-S00328(2001-07) and IEC 60617-S00337(2001-07), especially by referencing auxiliary documents; the relevant rules and explanations can be found in the application notes related to symbols such as IEC 60617-S00327(2001-07)(A00091~A00094) in IEC 60617.
