本文件规定了稀土铁合金中稀土总量的测定方法，包括3个方法：草酸盐重量法(方法1)、EDTA滴定法(方法2)、电感耦合等离子体发射光谱法(方法3)。
本文件适用于稀土铁合金中稀土总量的测定，方法1和方法2适用于稀土铁合金中稀土总量的测定，测定范围(质量分数)：10.00%~90.00%；方法3适用于镧铁合金、铈铁合金、镧铈铁合金中主稀土元素量的测定，测定范围(质量分数)：1.00%~20.00%。测定范围重叠部分以方法1作为仲裁方法。
