Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the selection of dosimeters, the preparation of dosimeters, the instrumentation and dosimetry procedures involved in measuring the absorbed dose in irradiated materials under photon and electron irradiation using the alanine-EPR dose measurement system. This system relies on the measurement of free radicals derived from amino acids in alanine by an electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometer. This system is designated as a reference-standard-level dosimetry system (see GB/T 16640).
